Super Y, now known as USL Youth (USLY), is a nation-wide youth summer league operated by the United Soccer League (USL). Divisions within USLY are organized geographically, and membership in the league is limited to only a few elite programs to ensure strong competition.

As a participating club in the Mid Atlantic division, Christos FC offers high-performing players the opportunity to continue to train and develop their skills with professional coaches and play against the elite-level competition during the summer months.

USL Youth teams are totally separate from Travel teams that participate in the usual Fall, Winter, and Spring schedule. All teams are formed to play together in the summer months only, with the exception of the North American Finals*, and usually, consist of players from various club teams.

* Any team that receives a bid is required to attend the USL Youth North American Finals, which are held in mid-December in Florida. 

WHAT IS THE TRYOUT PROCESS?
Tryouts are held in mid January - late February for the summer season and are open to anyone born in the ages listed on the tryout page. All players are evaluated during these tryouts by the team coaches and other evaluators based on several criteria, including technical ability, speed, and character.

All players must try out in their appropriate birth year.

A player may also try out for additional birth years they wish to be selected for.

The number of teams per age group is determined by the number of talented players that tryout. Typically, there will be one Girls and one Boys team in each age group.

The roster size range from 18-22 players. Rosters are slightly higher than a typical travel team in order to accommodate for potential conflicts with players’ summer schedules.

The season begins in early-June and ends in late-July. 

Teams will have two practices each week and play approximately 8-10 games, which are played during the week and on weekends.

Teams will have two practices each week during the season starting in early June. Christos FC is allocating fields around Anne Arundel County and Howard County. Each Super Y team will have a different practice schedule and location. Occasionally there may be a pool practice session between appropriate age groups.

Teams play against other participating USL Youth clubs and most away games are played within 30-90 minutes in the Maryland/Virginia area. All home games will be at either North Shore High School, Lake Shore Athletic Complex or Moose Athletic Center.

Given that the season is during the summer, it is anticipated that players may have other family commitments that prevent them from attending every USLY event. However, it is expected that all players communicate timely with the coach and team manager if they will not be available for a practice and/or game in order to allow sufficient time to accommodate the roster.

The league fee is $550 + uniform fee. Parents will have the option of either paying in full at checkout or having their payment broken into installments. We offer two different installment payments: two-payments or three-payments.

The first payment will be due upon registration, and the second payment will be charged a month from your registration date.

Three-Payment Option
The first payment will be due upon registration, the second payment will be charged a month from your registration date, and the third payment will be charged two months from your registration date.
